Because I am a Girl, and a VAIN one at that

Today, I spotted a single white hair hidden amongst black. At risk of sounding like a drama queen/ vain/ naive/ silly woman.. I was devastated! Rather, I am devastated. I suppose the time's finally come.. to let go of shiny black and embrace shiny white... BUT WHYYYYYYYY MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Do tell me, what did you feel like when you found you're first white? And if you haven't, do me a favor and don't say anything at all!

Hey dont panic.
Start eating Amla. You get them in supermarkets. Sweet amla pieces in packets.
You will not have any more grey and what grey you have will turn black. Have 4 pieces daily.
Most people dont realize what you eat is more important than what you apply - both skin and hair.

Also, soak almond - 6 pieces - overnight in water, peel off skin in the morning and eat. good for skin, hair, memory, heart....

Never apply hair colour, dye - it will lead to hair loss. stay away from all chemicals.
Oil your hair. Leave it for 1 hour or more and then apply shikakai powder (Meera, Raaga) to wash instead of shampoo.

Sid: Really? No whites????

Anon: Amen to that!

Sowmya: Of all the comments you have ever made, this one was the most touching. I will totally follow the regimen... but I am totally in awe with the fix it solution, nothing calms someone as much as a fix it solution. thank you tons sow!

i loved my first immature white hair that turned in some 4 years back. . Now there are a couple of them sprinkled here and there and I am not even 30. (ok on the verge of being 30 I should say.) But my worry is a small part of my beard that is turning white, that means frequent shaving...

I have had more than my fair share og whiten hairs and am not near 30 for another couple of years... but i know that with so much stress they are bound to come one or the other day... so resigned to fates :D

Vimal: You have no blacks too...*stab* *stab* *stab*

Harish: I think salt and pepper is good on a man, somehow increases the quotient for sex appeal a la Richard Gere. At least I always thought that, would you agree? It's nice to know you embraced the white.. and well hey, something very unnatural if you had salt and pepper head and a totally black beard, no?

Aash: Same thing as Harish, isn't it good for a guy to have the whites. Also because it's stress related is it directly proportional to a man's success?

When he started his journey, it was the soles of his feet that were in contact with the ground, but now as he pulled himself closer to the station, it was his whole body. His elbows were scraped, bloody and fresh scab peeled bled out to leave a trail of red on the wicked hot dusty ground of pain and suffering. All around him slow moving bodies crawled towards the direction of hope, all along leaving patterns of blood, sweat, skin and pus. These bodies had seen civil wars, droughts, genocide and lived to tell a tale of a people who now belonged to a nation listed as one of the poorest countries in the world. This is now, but before the list, was a struggle of massive proportions, under reported and quietly hidden

The Temple Widow A narrow dirt path, generously peppered with tiny pebbles, tiny miniatures of their gargantuan ancestors, leads to a bridge. It hangs, rickety and old. Old but not well used, old like abandoned and not frequently used. The bridge hangs low over a small stream that slowly gurgles past, happy unlike those that visit the place. The bridge leads to a temple. It is not very big, only perhaps the size of a small hut and at the most the size of an average temple hall. The temple has no deity; the temple has no one corner that doesn’t look like the other. It is clean, well swept, and empty. It has no furniture, and excepting a series of well spaced out windows, the walls remains uninterrupted. She stumbles in, the lady. She is not very tal

All I know is what I know, question my memory if you want to. I don't ask you to remember, I don't ask you to believe. In fact, I'm not asking you for anything at all. It is your choice to be here, to read this. So no, I don't owe you a favor. I happened to chance upon a watch, on one of my travels. Turning the dials of such a watch, could transport you to the past, to the future, to any time. But time, my friend, is not how you think it is. It is not a straight line, and you cannot just by chance hop into the world of dinosaurs and wooden weapons. It is a series of transparencies, like films of clean sheets of paper laid on top of each other. You look from above
