Everyone can play football!

The world cup is here! And I'm back from a lovely trip to Malaysia.

Who else is having as much fun as I am, watching the upsetting start, to have all the titans rise slowly out of the mess they dug themselves in in the initial matches. My prediction for tonight's match, after this Portugese slaughter of the North Koreans, is that it will be Spain turn to pump up the volume. If they don't, well, I won't be disappointed.

It's been fun because it seems to me, I've had my first glimpse at the North Koreans. I keep thinking of how, everytime they fall on the ground they get back up. And when they don't it's because of a real injury, not because they're trying to fish for cards. You have to admire that. And the Swiss Iceberg, impressed immensely against Spain. To top it all, that Nigerian Elastic Goal keeper, blew my mind. I know we're going to bid adieu to a lot of these fine teams, why should we be surprised they are good. They made it to the World Cup after all.

I learnt a good lesson with the IPL this year, dazzlers at start, fizzle out at the end (Bad Royal Challengers). So a la Chennai Super Kings, I know the finals are going to be cracking. My only concern would be that Italy makes it there sans Buffon. I'd really want to watch my favorite man on the current team, Gatusso weave his way like the werewolf he is, through the fancy Samba Men, Skillfull Argentinians & if they make it, good old Germany.

Apart from that, recent times have been bitter sweet. Hence the absence from the blog. Malaysia was wonderful, but a lot of things drove home. THINGS HAVE CHANGED! I don't know if it's for the better or the worse, but I know I wasn't part of the change. It happens, I suppose, but I'm very glad that after the trip there, I feel more at home here.

So turning 25 soon, Italy please remind me why June is such a great month to be born in and score those damn goals!

I really wonder why you like Italy so much. I can assure you, they're not winning the WC. :PI'm quite an iconoclastic, right? :)

it's sad..... I mean Italy....even they don't fancy their chances of winning ...... :D

i'm betting on ...Argentina or whoever makes it between Germany vs England match.....

i'm not even backing Brasil this time......the team who was famous for their attacking game.....is obviously missing it this time.....

hope Portugal also have a good run.....Ronaldo is the best..... \,,/

PS :- It's Asia Cup Final today.....Pray for India too....though they are looking good...and i hope they won't require any prayers from me or anybody...... :D

Well both of you were right. They did not win, and now the question who will win? Germany? Argentina? Spain? Brazil? who who who?

Adi: you're not iconoclastic, you're the reverse. Bashing Italy, is a traditional World Cup sport. I'm just going to say, at least we were not France :)

Hites: So that's Argentina or England.. interesting. You likey Ronaldo.. I don't likey him.. And INDIA WON THE ASIA CUP! wooohoooo!

Where to get Rosemary, Sage, Basil, Thyme in Bangalore?

There was a time in Bangalore when finding exotic herbs involved a trip to some remote farm in Ooty and finding out their supply route to Bangalore.

Thankfully, much has changed.

Look what I found at Namdharis..namely the one on M.M road, off Mosque Road, Fraser Town.

I felt like a kid in a candy store! Recipes to what I've used them for, to follow!!

I recall seeing a collection of the same, in 1 MG Road, opposite Taj Vivanta as well, in case that is closer to you.

PS. I also found thyme, but I forgot to photograph it. Got all the herbs + salad leaves for Rs. 105

Off Products Available in India: Not Tested on Animals- India

A while ago, I turned vegan. It took me three months, to turn myself out of it, but I can safely say, that that experience changed the person in me. It started off with this documentary  and hit me hard. Possibly, owning a dog made a difference, the fact that I know him and have realized that 'they' deserve better.

Anyhow, I've never looked at a piece of chicken the same way. I couldn't keep myself vegan, so I've done the best that I can do, given my shoddy will power. It's not much, but it is something, and honestly, it's not debatable. No camel, elephant rides. No zoos or circuses, wool, leather, feathers or shells. I'm leaving them alone, materially.

And the most recent change has been with cosmetics and toiletries. I was luckier when I started off a couple of months ago, that I am now. The stock of products that I've had, has run out, and where before I was looking for shampoo/conditioner/body wash, I find myself looking for kajal, mascarra a…

L'Oreal Creme Gloss- Dark Chocolate (323)

I thought I'd try my hand at a product review & the product in question is the new shade 323 (Dark Chocolate) from L'Oreal.

How I bought it: At Health & Glow

$$$: Rs 425

Comments: There were plenty of 'test for allergy' warnings all over the box. Was kind of hard to miss the warning, but I did not heed it as I had used the product (not the same shade) before. Application was easy, and the instructions are very simple and can be followed to the letter. The smell, the texture and all the tools provided were perfect, very honestly, I love using L'Oreal hair colour more because of the ease, as I can do it myself at home. After washing out the dye, the hair was also glossy and bouncy, which made me feel less guilty about colouring it.

What I was not happy with, was the end result: the colour. It was very close to the actual shade of my hair, which I'd always thought was black. The product seemed to make my hair blacker than before, as opposed to the chocolate …
